Ask a physicist,
they’ll tell you,
all matter and energy alike
are subject to the four universal forces.
And what are those?
Gravity, electromagnetism,
the strong nuclear force
and the weak nuclear force.
How much more so,
sentient beings.
For, do not all of us each dread:
scarcity, pain, scorn, and obscurity?
And are not each of us wired
to crave: sustenance, pleasure,
praise, and fame
(to some degree or another)?
Regardless of the illusions
of: gender, race, nationality, or creed;
are we not, under the skin,
all brothers?
