Empty your Mind

In the 16th passage of the Tao Te Ching

we read to “Empty your mind of all thought…”

but how do we view that metaphor

through the lens of Yin?

We notice our thoughts passively, and vulnerably

with each inhalation,

and we physically relax (as best we can)

during each exhalation

for doing so sets space

for our mind to release.

Thus it is not our thoughts that stop flowing

but our mind that stops grasping.

Let us conclude

with a simple

call to action

In the Tibetan tradition Lamas are supported

not by monasteries but by students

as such the production of these livestreams,

blogs, and class materials is supported

by the generosity of viewers, and listeners, and readers

just like you.
