So many dick-heads run about proclaiming that enlightenment is elusive or that the Buddha’s path is difficult. No wonder folks feel the need to defend themselves from the ravings of patriarchy. Sometimes they protect themselves by musing aloud whether or not enlightenment is worth it or if nirvana could be boring. And although the minions of orthodoxy may try to convince us that mind-blanking is the path, it really isn’t. If our intellect and imagination were freed from the chains of our fearful and aggressive controlling tendencies how playful and impish could it wax? What if force-ghost Anakin persisted in interrupting Luke’s meditation with dad jokes while Yoda heckled him?
