In 1977 Star Wars delighted a sickly twelve-year-old
with Alec Guinness’ Obi Wan Kenobi.
For in that character a younger “me” was exposed
to a new archetype;
that of holy man as hero.
I’ve spent this life studying the spiritual arts and sciences
that I too might be a guardian of peace and justice.
I also found a kindred spirit
in Star Trek’s libidinous Captain Kirk
and so the practice of Tantra
has long been a part of my journey.
