There are many
who are enthusiastic
to live in the present moment
but their efforts
will meet with frustration
if they strive
to seek the present moment
for that strategy
is one of concentration,
and rigidity,
and control.
That is a strategy of patriarchy
but the present moment
could be likened to a cat
which will flee when chased
but comes to you
when you open up a can
of its favorite food.
From the point of view
of matriarchy
the savoring of the present moment
is NOT something to be sought
but rather
something that dawns upon us
as we become vulnerable
to all
its glory
and its grotesquerie.
