Why do we feel separated
from other beings?
For the same reason we tend
to exacerbate our stressors,
be they circumstantial, physical,
interpersonal, or mental…
we have been conditioned
to live in perpetual resistance.
Upon the Buddha’s path
we perceive (with great vulnerability)
our resistance to the presence
of all we find dreadful,
as well as our resistance
to the absence
of all we find desirous.
We perceive this resistance
and we let go of it
by blending physical relaxation and mental release
with each exhalation.
Like Qui Gon Jinn
who was able to meditate,
in the midst of a life or death battle,
in the presence of he
who wished him dead.
